Opportunity is everywhere in Canada’s housing market, especially in Vancouver. With the Build Canada Homes initiative in full swing, the city is searching for smarter, more efficient development, and that’s where OMRT comes in.
Our journey in Canada began when OMRT founders Andreja and Jasper joined a Dutch trade mission, leading to partnerships with top players like Wesgroup and Bosa Properties.
River District project & concrete results
We’re excited to support the award-winning River District with Wesgroup, Vancouver’s largest waterfront community. Using our platform, we optimised residential and retail layouts for both comfort and efficiency across the 130-acre site.
The outcome?
8% increase in GFA
6% better water views, and
40% cost reduction on design process
These results aren’t just impressive on paper, they make a real difference for developers and future residents.

Sr. Director Of Development at Wesgroup Properties, Graham Brewster, reflecting on our collaboration, noted: “OMRT’s platform offers a fresh perspective that truly energises our team. The ability to unlock new development potential across our full portfolio is exactly what we need to keep driving innovation at Wesgroup.”
Adapting to a global scale
Working in Canada pushed our team to rethink approaches, adapt our workflows, and meet stricter standards especially in energy efficiency and resilience.
As our founder Andreja Andrejević puts it: “Taking OMRT into Canada meant pushing the boundaries of our platform and ourselves. Adapting to new standards and approaches has only strengthened our belief in the power of collaboration and innovation. Every challenge we overcome here offers fresh ideas we can share with teams and cities around the world.”
The experience strengthened our platform for all markets, blending global innovation with local know-how.
Vancouver is just the start. With proven results at River District, we’ve shown how innovation, collaboration, and data-driven design can redefine urban living. Not only for Vancouver, but for communities everywhere.
